Senior Frontend / UX Developer x2 ↓

Due to our high growth phase, we are looking to recruit two experienced Frontend Javascript/UX Developers to join our Customer Engineering Team. The successful candidates will have a passion for creating great software and thrive in a fun, fast-paced and challenging environment. You will have the opportunity to work with the latest technologies and help build relationships with our client base by improving and customising GeoPals core product.

This is more than a technical role, you will work closely with internal developers, project managers, and quality engineers. We encourage everyone to give their input and we build on individual knowledge to further improve our process.

What will I be doing?
You’ll be working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment to solution design, build, and deliver quality custom projects for our clients. Your time will be spent creating mock-ups and wireframes for the solutions you’ve designed and then build the solution within the agreed timeframe.

You will

  • Create solutions for both mobile and web using GeoPal as a platform.
  • Attend client meetings to help translate needs into solid specs for projects
  • Work with an international team to develop innovative client solutions

What skills do I need?

  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Proven knowledge of HTML, Javascript and CSS. ExtJs and jQuery knowledge is a distinct advantage.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs and Web services
  • First-class communication skills
  • A creative mind with a knack for problem-solving

Web Developer ↓

GeoPal Solutions are a software firm providing a highly flexible & customisable mobile data capture solution used by some of the world’s top engineering firms. Following significant growth, we are now hiring a PHP Engineer to join the GeoPal team.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a small team of highly experienced developers to develop new GeoPal features based on our product roadmap.
  • Review customer feature requests with Product Managers and propose design solutions.
  • Work of a variety of different advanced web projects for use with GIS mapping and scheduling solutions.
  • Work on integrating GeoPal with 3rd party systems.
  • Stay up to date on the latest technology developments and make recommendations on product direction, technology and features.
  • Occasionally work with other programming languages and technologies.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Technical education, preferably in Computer Science; University Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
  • Solid knowledge of PHP5/7 in a commercial environment (3+ years experience)
  • Experience in testing practices
  • Excellent HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • MySQL development experience
  • Excellent coding skills with a passion for clean readable code
  • Experience in a Linux environment
  • Enthusiastic, determined, energetic, relentless and creative team player with the ability to work individually

Pre-Sales Consultant ↓

Due to our continued development into the Mobile Operations Management market we are now seeking to recruit a Pre-Sales Consultant to join our team at GeoPal. The right person for this role will have previous experience in a pre-sales role with a software company.

They will be required to work alongside the Sales team in establishing the business need of potential customers. They will then be required to analyze this need in order to design the appropriate solution for the customer within the GeoPal Platform and demonstrate a vision to the potential customer.

The candidate will be required to work with the Operations team to upskill in relation to the evolving technologies offered by the platform.

The applicant must be willing to learn new skills and adapt as the needs of the company evolve. We will provide training in areas of the GeoPal platform and process analysis that are needed to accomplish the role effectively.

Activities will include

  • Detects and describes the customer’s business needs; obtains confirmation from the customer.
  • Identifies appropriate applications, tools, and solutions for targeted accounts.
  • Prepares prototype solutions and presentations based on opportunity analysis.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated experience in solution design
  • 3+ years previous experience in a Pre-Sales role with a SaaS company
  • Primary Degree in a relevant discipline
